Alpine Sliding and the High Line Footbridge

On the way to and from Neuschwanstein, we took advantage of dry weather to take an Alpine Slide (think bobsledding in a metal trough or Olympic luge) and to walk the Highlilne 179, one of the longest pedestrian footbridges in the world.  Here are the details:

Highline 179 Footbridge
Reutte, Tyrol, Austria
374 feet high / 114 meters high
1,319 foot span / 402 meter span
We a few wrecks on the Alpine Slide, but you know, sometimes you win and sometimes you luge.

Almost everyone took a turn on the Highline- but a few stuck to the lowline.

          Some folks preferred
the Lowline.
